NIKE YOGA

CLIENT: NIKE // ROLE: PHOTOGRAPHER

THE NEED

At the height of a global pandemic, how do you launch a Nike Yoga campaign and inspire people to move, regardless of ability, amidst a worldwide quarantine?

The Approach

As a Photographer, I came alongside ad agency, Only Another and production company, Remedy Co. to tell the story of Nike athlete, Logan Aldridge, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Logan lost his left arm at an early age due to a boating accident, but in response developed an inspiring perspective on life and a dedication to push his body to the limit.

The Process

The shoot took place at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, so we kept the majority of our production outside and worked with a small crew. I alternated with the video production team to photograph Logan, while we all stayed masked and distanced to ensure everyone’s safety.
We also had a Zoom call for our client and agency, so they would to be able to advise and approve as needed for film and photography. While the video production team shot, I coordinated with the teams, to ensure alignment as I photographed each segment.

DIRECTION

The art direction for the photography centered upon a “day in the life” approach, emphasizing empowering angles and incorporating practical lens effects utilizing various glass prisms and kaleidoscopes.
During a once in a lifetime worldwide tragedy, we overcame and problem-solved safely to create space to inspire, empower, and encourage people through art and storytelling.
